M.J. Amsden furniture was established in 1984 as Michael's Auto and Household Upholstery, known locally as Michael's Upholstery. As our business grew and evolved over the years we incorporated and changed the name to M.J. Amsden Furniture. We are builders of fine handcrafted furniture and offer high quality reupholstering and seat weaving services. We weave seats in Cane, Fibre Rush and Shaker Tape. Although we have several of our own designs listed in our online store, we welcome custom work and will help you design your own unique piece. We are centrally located in West Rutland Vermont, a small marble mining town reinventing itself into an arts and crafts center. Our hours are 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, but we recommend calling ahead for an appointment.
